Excelsior Cottage - Activities
If you're keen to do more than simply chill out and enjoy the peace and quiet of the country, there is plenty to occupy you on our working dairy farm.Fishing
Chief attraction for many is the excellent trout fishing. Guests have at their disposal two large, well-stocked trout dams (used for fishing competitions). When the cottage is occupied the dams are reserved exclusively for guests and fishing is on a "catch and release" basis. The rod fee is R100 a day.

Wildlife
Along with an abundance of nocturnal game, wildlife found on the farm includes oribi, eland, duiker, bushbuck, reedbuck, Vaal reedbuck, mountain reedbuck, lynx, serval, jackal, bush pig, porcupine, baboons, and samango monkeys.
